Usually. But a lot of the time, "special" also means "lonely".

... I wasn't the only kid raised by a jaeger corps. I saw a few others sometimes.

But it's not something a lot of kids deal with. So I didn't say anything when I actually started going to school. Jaegers are vicious, dishonest, dangerous. So they say.

No, not really. Eventually you just end up doing what you know, and you try to stop caring. Most of the time, that's enough.

I appreciate you saying that, even though I didn't tell you anything about the things I could see, so there's really nothing to believe or not.

[ Fie makes a sound that's almost a laugh, only slightly more pained and quickly suppressed. Right, ribs. ]

If it makes you better, you can go back to lying and I'll even make impressed noises or whatever.

And here I thought you were harder to impress than that. For shame. [he definitely means that condemnation, clearly] If all it takes is a few simple lies, that's not nearly as fun.

I can shoot them down instead. That probably wouldn't take a whole lot of effort.
