Considering that she was trying to say I was as insane as you were, I don't think she would have been lying or exaggerating.

The knife. She was taking bloody rather literally. [she hadn't said exactly how, but the fact that she was trying not to hit anything vital gave him an idea or two.] I can't say I enjoyed burning alive, but it didn't take long. I don't think I could've said the same thing about--

When I told her I'd rather she'd just shoot me, she told me she had to make it painful. I took that as a warning.

[the fire thing is where it gets... dicey to justify.]

I couldn't have fought the knife off of her, and she wasn't letting up. Douse yourself with gasoline, though, and any killer's sure to take a step back. It seemed the easiest way to get her to back off.
